Convert JPG to PNG, WebP or GIF
Pick the format you need. Nothing uploaded.
How it works
- Pick your photos. From your camera roll, files or computer.
- We fix them on your phone.Your phone does the work. Nothing is uploaded.
- Save them back to Photos.Straight into your camera roll, or your Downloads on a computer.
Which format to pick
PNG when an app or form asks for it, or when you’ll keep editing the picture: it never loses detail when saved again. WebP for your own website: the same photo in a much smaller file. GIF for old apps and forums that only take GIFs; it’s limited to 256 colours, so photos can look a little grainy.
Questions
Will converting a JPG to PNG improve quality?
No. A JPG already lost some detail when it was saved, and no converter can bring it back. PNG keeps exactly what is there.
Can I make an animated GIF here?
Not yet. Each JPG becomes a single-frame GIF.
Can I do this without a website?
One file at a time, yes. On a Mac, Preview’s File, then Export can save PNG. On Windows, Paint can save PNG and GIF. This page does batches, WebP and phones too.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your phone or computer does the converting, inside the browser. Load the page, turn on airplane mode and try it: it still works.
