When you need a PNG of an SVG
Many places don’t accept SVG: social media, email signatures, office documents and most upload forms. A PNG at 2x or 4x looks just as crisp at the size people will see it.
Questions
What size will the PNG be?
By default, twice the size set in the SVG, which looks sharp on phone and laptop screens. Open the options to pick 1x, 2x or 4x. 4x is good for print or big slides.
Can I do this without a website?
Yes. Inkscape, a free design app for Windows, Mac and Linux, can export an SVG to PNG at any size. Most design tools, such as Figma, can too. This page is quicker when you just need a PNG of a logo or icon on your phone.
Is transparency kept?
Yes. Anything transparent in the SVG stays transparent in the PNG.
Why do some fonts or images look different?
SVGs can point to fonts and pictures stored elsewhere. For your privacy this page never fetches anything, so the browser uses a fallback font and skips outside pictures. SVGs with their text turned into shapes, which most logos are, come out exactly right.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your browser draws the SVG and makes the PNG on your device.
