Profile picture maker

One photo in, a clean profile picture out. Nothing uploaded.

The first time, your device downloads the background remover (about 6 MB). It stays there for next time, and works in airplane mode.

How it works

  1. Pick your photos.A photo of you from your camera roll or computer.
  2. We fix them on your phone.Your phone cuts you out. Pick a style and fine-tune it.
  3. Save them back to Photos.A 1080 × 1080 picture into your camera roll.

Cut out, framed and styled for you

Pick a photo of yourself and your phone finds your face and cuts you out of the background. Straight away you get 16 styles to choose from, each in a round preview the way apps show a profile picture: bright colours, soft gradients, your own background blurred like a portrait photo, with or without a ring around the edge.

Tap the one you like to fine-tune it. Change the background colour or gradient, add a ring and pick its colour and width, and drag or zoom to place yourself in the circle. The picture is framed on your face from the start, so most of the time there is nothing to adjust.

One look everywhere

The picture is saved as a 1080 × 1080 square, sharp enough for every app, which crop it to a circle themselves. Choose Matching banner to also get a header in the same colours: 1584 × 396 for LinkedIn or 1500 × 500 for X.

Tips for a good profile picture

  • Start from a photo where your face is well lit and in focus. The cut-out can only be as sharp as the photo.
  • Head and shoulders work best. Leave a little space above your head.
  • A plain colour behind you is easy to recognise at small sizes, in a chat list or a comment.

Questions

How does it cut me out?

A small AI model that finds the subject of a photo runs right on your phone or computer. The first time, your device downloads it (about 6 MB) and keeps it, so next time it starts straight away, even in airplane mode.

What size is the profile picture?

1080 × 1080 pixels, saved as a JPG. That is more than any app shows, so it stays sharp everywhere.

The cut-out missed some hair. What can I do?

Fine hair and busy backgrounds are hard. A photo against a plainer background, or the Blurred photo background, hides the edges best.

Can I use it for a pet or a product?

Yes. Without a face, the whole subject is centred, and you can drag and zoom to frame it.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Finding you, cutting you out and making the picture all happen on your device. Load the page, turn on airplane mode and try it.
