How to crop
Drag the box to move it and drag a corner to resize it. Pick a shape to lock it: Square for profile pictures, 4:5 for Instagram posts, 16:9 for YouTube and screens, 9:16 for Stories and Reels, 3:2 for prints. Or type an exact width and height in pixels.
With several photos, tap one in the list to crop it. Each photo keeps its own box, and choosing a shape sets every photo to it, centred.
Screenshots and transparency
PNG is lossless, so a cropped PNG is pixel for pixel what was inside the box. Transparent areas stay transparent. It’s a quick way to cut a status bar or a single message out of a screenshot.

Will the transparent background stay?
Yes. Transparent areas inside the box stay transparent.
Can I crop a screenshot on my iPhone?
Yes. Pick the screenshot from Photos, drag the box around the part you want and save it back.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Cropping happens on your phone or computer, in the browser. Load the page, turn on airplane mode and try it: it still works.
