Portrait mode, after the fact

How strong should the blur be?
Around the middle looks like a real camera. Turn it up to hide what’s behind you completely, or down for a gentle softening.
Why is there a soft glow around the subject?
The edge between the subject and the background is soft, so a little of the old background can show in the blur right next to it. Photos where the subject stands apart from the background look best.
Will my photo lose quality?
The subject stays at full resolution and is saved as a high-quality JPG. Only the background is changed.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The background is removed on your phone or computer, in the browser. The first time, your device downloads the background remover (about 6 MB) and keeps it. After that, load the page, turn on airplane mode and try it: it still works.
